7月25日，伦敦爱乐乐团（LPO）宣布任命爱德华·加德纳（Edward Gardner）为乐团首席指挥。现年44岁的加德纳将在2021/2022乐季开始时接替弗拉基米尔·尤洛夫斯基（Vladimir Jurowski）。他是自20世纪60年代末以来，该乐团的第一位英国首席指挥。

从1997年到2002年，加德纳是沃金厄姆合唱协会的音乐总监，此前由格雷姆·詹金斯（Graeme Jenkins）、保罗·丹尼尔（Paul Daniel）和斯蒂芬·莱顿（Stephen Layton）担任。1999年，虽然加德纳仍然是皇家音乐学院的学生，但在迈克尔·吉伦（Michael Gielen）的邀请下，加德纳成为了萨尔茨堡音乐节的总监助理，因为当时另一位总监助理生病了。加德纳随后在哈尔管弦乐团担任了马克·艾尔德（Mark Elder）三年的助理指挥。2003年，加德纳在巡演中被任命为格林德波恩歌剧音乐节（Glyndebourne）2004年至2007年的音乐总监。

2005年，加德纳获得了皇家爱乐协会授予的青年艺术家奖。2006年3月，他被任命为英国国家歌剧院的音乐总监，2007年5月正式上任，初步合同为3年。

伦敦爱乐乐团首席执行官兼艺术总监蒂莫西·沃克（Timothy Walker）说：“看到加纳德从16年前就与我们一起首次登场，并成长为一位伟大的音乐家，这真是太吸引人了。他在英国国家歌剧院工作了10年，最近在卑尔根爱乐乐团工作，他已经掌握了大量的管弦乐和声乐曲目。对于他来说，现在回到英国，作为我们的首席指挥，不仅对LPO，而且对伦敦乃至英国的艺术圈来说，都是令人兴奋的。”

下了一天一夜，最后停留在99.7%上，今早醒得早，就试着把文件拷贝出来，去掉下载软件加的后缀，完整听了一遍，音乐的完整性没问题，没有乱音、跳音、断音问题，就是16、17轨结尾时时间显示有点小毛病。
